Arch Manning has become the talk of the town, not just because of his last name but owing to his electrifying playing abilities showcased during Texas' matchup against the UTSA Roadrunners.

Manning helped the Longhorns secure a massive 56-7 win in Week 3. After starting quarterback Quinn Ewers left in the second quarter due to an abdomen strain, the backup QB impacted the score in a big way.

Eli and Peyton Manning's nephew stunned everybody with his performance; he scored five touchdowns and threw for 223 passing yards.

While NFL stars like Vince Young, Robert Griffin III, and Emmanuel Acho raved about the Manning show in Week 3, college football insider Paul Finebaum expressed optimism for Texas' backup QB's chances of winning the Heisman Trophy.

“Book it, Arch Manning is going to win the Heisman," Finebaum said on SportsCenter on Sunday. "I am in on that. And by the way, his granddad [Archie Manning] and Peyton [Manning] probably should have won it, and Arch will. Can you imagine?
"He’s replacing a Heisman favor right now. I don’t know if he’ll win it this year, but Arch Manning will definitely win the Heisman at Texas.”

Steve Sarkisian lauds Arch Manning after Week 3

Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian also appreciated Arch Manning's performance and talked about how the team's practices contributed to his success.

"We take a lot of pride in our practices and competitive good on good things that nature, and try to make as many game like situations as we can," Sarkisian said in the press conference. "But there's nothing like being playing in front of 105,000 people is not the easiest thing to do. So I'm really proud of Arch and what he's able to do."
"He actually operated really, really well for a kid. I think our roots in good shape and coach, we just reach out with those guys, try to tailor our system to the strengths of our quarterbacks, and then make sure the skill players can operate around them. And so I think those guys are very comfortable."

Sarkisian faced questions about Manning's decision to stay with Texas and not enter the transfer portal.

However, he never talked about it like it was something unusual and said that it's part of the process and that the team is building him to be the player he can be.
