During his three-year prep career, Thorne passed for 7,008 yards and 8 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns. Thorne was ranked the No.16 dual-threat quarterback in the nation by 247Sports and was named 2018 Illinois Offensive Player of the Year by USA TODAY. The three-star prospect from Naperville began his collegiate football career with Michigan State Spartans after originally committing to play for Western Michigan University.
