Penn State vs. Purdue game summary

The Lions opened the scoring in the first quarter as Allar threw a two-yard TD to Kaytron Allen. Ryan Barker converted the extra point. The visitors extended their lead when Allar combined with Tyler Warren for a 15-yard TD pass. Barker converted the extra point.

The Boilermakers got on the scoreboard in the second quarter when Ben Freehill made a 22-yard field goal. However, Penn State responded well as Nicholas Singleton rushed for a 10-yard touchdown with 6:04 remaining in the first half. Barker converted the extra point to give Penn State a 21-3 lead at halftime.

The Lions piled on the misery on Purdue in the third quarter. Warren rushed for a 48-yard touchdown less than four minutes after the restart. Allar then connected with Harrison Wallace for a 46-yard touchdown pass before Beau Pribula rushed for a 49-yard score. Penn State raced to a 42-3 lead in the third quarter while Purdue replaced quarterback Hudson Card with Ryan Browne.

After failing to score in the third, Purdue got back on the scoresheet in the fourth quarter when Browne combined with Max Clare for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Freehill converted the extra point.

Penn State scored again just before the final whistle when Beau Pribula connected with Luke Reynolds on a 24-yard touchdown pass. The Lions won the game 49-10 to get their ninth victory of the season.
