The Colorado Buffaloes have been in the center of the media world and more news continues to come out related to the team. Head coach Deion Sanders took to social media Friday to say that his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, never discussed teams that he desired to play for.
He wrote on X:
"Please stop lying on us. Show me where @ShedeurSanders said what teams he desired to play for? That’s something we don’t do. God bless whomever was the GENESIS of this lie. We love ya and hope u attain what u desire. 'A LIE DON’T CARE WHO TELLS IT'. #Dad/#CoachPrime"
Shedeur Sanders also took to social media earlier in the day to question a report that alleged that the QB mentioned that the top six teams he wanted to play for in the NFL were the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles. He said that the report is false.
It is something that the Colorado Buffaloes are going to have to deal with this season as Shedeur Sanders is eligible for the 2025 NFL draft after deciding to return to the Buffs in lieu of entering in 2024. It will be interesting to see how he does in the 2024 college football season, as he tries to elevate his draft stock.
Where will Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders be selected in the 2025 NFL draft?
After showcasing his abilities at a power five level last season with the Colorado Buffaloes, Shedeur Sanders is ready to take another step in the right direction during the 2024 college football season. He finished last season going 298-for-430 (69.3%) for 3,230 yards with 27 passing touchdowns to just three interceptions.
Sheduer Sanders has the ability to be a top-three quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft class as he will be competing with Texas Longhorns' Quinn Ewers and Georgia Bulldogs' Carson Beck. The quarterback position is the most important and there is a chance Sanders could elevate to the second spot but it will be difficult to surpass both men without a national championship.
Expect to see another step of improvement for Shedeur Sanders during the 2024 season as he has better offensive linemen and more experience competing against the power five competition. Sanders saw solid numbers in 2023 but a lot matters on how he plays in important games in November if he wants to be considered one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL draft.
