There has been debate in college football after Keyshawn Johnson made a bold prediction about the Colorado Buffaloes' chances of securing the Big 12 championship. Deion Sanders' team will start their season with a game against North Dakota State on Aug. 29.

During an episode of ‘Undisputed,’ the former NFL star said he believes Coach Prime and the Buffs will achieve a 9-3 record.

“Just looking at the schools and the names and what I remember from a year ago, I look at (Colorado) as a 9-3 team,” Johnson said.

Johnson added he anticipated losses to Nebraska, Kansas and Utah.

Johnson's confidence in Colorado's success has sparked a spirited reaction across social media platforms. The Buffaloes' previous 4-8 season may not support such a bold projection.

“Their quarterback is below par,” a fan tweeted.

“You can tell he doesn’t watch the Big 12 anymore,” another fan tweeted.
“He's drunk,” one fan tweeted.
“Keyshawn on that booger sugar clearly,” another tweeted.
“Mr Keyshawn Johnson I wanna tell u the big 12 conference now is Kansas and Oklahoma state conference as the team too beat,” one tweeted.
Facts Colorado will win Big12 and they will make the CFP,” another fan tweeted.

On "Undisputed," co-host Rachel Nichols sought clarity over Johnson's Buffs game prediction.

“I watched them [Colorado] play every single snap last year. I might’ve missed 20 snaps in all of their games,” Johnson said. “They were this close. In every game that they lost they were this close, except one. The Oregon game was the only one I looked at and said, ‘Yea, they’re not going to win that game.’ That was it.”

However, the Colorado Buffaloes will face a daunting 2024 schedule. They have challenging road games at Nebraska and Kansas, tough home matchups against Kansas State and Utah, and a tricky opener against FCS powerhouse North Dakota State.
