After a rocky start with the Texas Longhorns in 2021, Steve Sarkisian turned the tides in 2023 with a 12-2 record that included a 32-24 win against Nick Saban's Alabama.

With 11 Longhorns selected in this year's draft, a record for the program, Sarkisian did an impressive job retaining powerhouse talents such as Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning. He also brought in new players from Alabama: wide receiver Isaiah Bond and tight end Amari Niblack.

Last Thursday, Texas' QB1 Quinn Ewers talked about the dynamic with his new teammates on former NFL star Robert Griffin III's podcast RG3 and The Ones.

"I think they're doing a great job of, you know, trusting the process, and understanding what it takes to get to where we need to get to... we're throwing every week trying to get that timing down and, you know, they've been dialed in on the playbook," said Ewers.

In the same interview, Ewers also talked about the significance of him being on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25:

"It's been great. I mean, it's honestly like humbling, and just like a blessing to be able to to have the opportunity to be on the game. I mean, it's been so long since the last one was out."

The most recent installment of the video game was released in 2013, making this one of the most anticipated launches of the year. Fans were given a look at its cover back in May which featured Ewers alongside Colorado wide receiver and defensive back Travis Hunter as well as Michigan running back Edward Donovan.

"You know hanging with those other guys and just experience the whole photoshoot, all the videos we did and it was just an overall cool experience. And I mean it's good for the whole university," said Ewers.

The video game will be released on July 19 and fans can pre-order the standard version for $69.99 while the deluxe version costs $99.99.
