The early order for the 2025 NFL draft is set. Now, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders just has to wait to see where he goes. Barring a trade within the top five slots, Sanders will likely land with one of Tennessee, Cleveland, the New York Giants or maybe even Jacksonville.
Sanders isn't stressing about where he ends up, though.
"Honestly, bro, I've been doing a lot of thinking, bro, and what's meant to happen is gonna happen," Sanders said to his brother, Deion Sanders Jr., on Monday on the '2Legendary' podcast.
"I don't feel like God would ever put me in a place, you know, I'm not supposed to go. We made it everywhere, you know, that we have went, and been successful, so I'm happy of the order, and whatever happens, happens. I know, at the end of the day, God's gonna put me on the right team," he added.
The snippet from the conversation was posted on Instagram.
"Whatever happens, happens," the joint post from the podcast's page and Overtime SZN was captioned.
One fan commented where they believe Shedeur Sanders will end up:
"You were BORN to be a New York Football Giant," @c.lara910 wrote in the comments section of the post on Instagram.
The Giants' quarterback situation was shaky down the stretch after they cut ties with former first-round pick Daniel Jones, who never really panned out as the team's starter despite receiving a second contract. Big Blue would probably go back and give that deal to Saquon Barkley instead, especially considering his impressive showing this season.
Another fan seemed to find comedy in Shedeur's situation, feeling he's destined to end up with a franchise that seems cursed under center:
"You going to the Browns," @king_moku_909._ said.
Speaking on behalf of Tennessee, a Titans supporter was honest with their assessment of Shedeur Sanders:
"Me. Aka titans #1 fan," @e10penny_ commented, "We Do Not Want Shedeur."
Noise around Shedeur Sanders
Shedeur Sanders has never played for a football team that his father, Deion Sanders, was not in charge of. The elder Sanders, known as "Coach Prime", has said that he'll have a say in where his sons wind up playing in the NFL if need be.
One fan took note of that:
"By God he means his daddy," @andrew_johnson_8 said.
There is an instance in which "Coach Prime" could have a direct effect on where Shedeur Sanders is drafted if he decides to move to the NFL coaching ranks. Deion Sanders has been linked to the Las Vegas Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.
