The Tennessee Titans are on the clock as they consider their top overall draft pick. Colorado coach Deion Sanders spoke about the possibility of his son, Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, being that choice.

Shedeur's teammate, Heisman-winning two-way player Travis Hunter, is also in contention to be the first pick. Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who boosted his stock this season after transferring from Washington State, is another candidate.

(7:14) "I love it. First of all, no state tax," Sanders said on Sunday's episode of the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast. "New stadium going in. Beautiful city. ... I don't know what's gonna transpire because right now is positioning time.
"You're gonna see articles coming out that, 'I don't like Shedeur, I don't like Travis, I don't like Cam,' just so they'll fall right where they want them to fall. There's a lot of positioning going on right now."

Regarding his son and Travis Hunter, Coach Prime believes they won't have to wait long on draft night. He expects them to celebrate their bright futures in Boulder shortly after the first round concludes.

(6:59) "Those young men, not only are they going in the top five, they have an opportunity to go first and second," Sanders said. "The worst I think they'll be (is) top three."

Coach Prime is well aware of how franchises posture and the reports that come out. He spun it positively with such knowledge on the matter, not allowing it to bother him.

"If you hating on Shedeur, that means you've gotta uplift Cam," Sanders said. "If you are hating on Cam, you've gotta uplift Shedeur, or you've gotta bring somebody else in the fold, which you know better than that."

Why should Coach Prime keep an eye on the Titans?

Tennessee finished 3-14 this season, its worst showing since 2015. After that season, the Titans took Oregon standout Marcus Mariota with their No. 2 overall draft pick. Ken Whisenhunt, in his second year at the helm, didn't last the full season with the rookie quarterback.

Will Levis, Tennessee's second-round pick in 2023, saw the bulk of the time behind center for this year's version of the Titans, going 2-10 as the starter. Mason Rudolph, who signed with the team after a resurgence in Pittsburgh in 2023, started the five other contests, going 1-4. That duo threw almost as many interceptions (21) as they did touchdowns (22).

Some think that Coach Prime would take a hard look at relocating to Nashville if the Titans' head coaching job opened up, though it doesn't appear that Brian Callahan will be let go.
