Ryan Wingo is a college football player who plays as a wide receiver for the Texas Longhorns of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. Wingo is in his freshman year as of December 2024. The youngster attended St. Louis University High School in St. Louis, Missouri where he recorded 129 receptions for 2,160 yards and 31 receiving touchdowns. Ryan Wingo played in the 2024 All-American Bowl. He is also an All-America and two-time all-state honoree. According to the Texas Longhorns official website, he is majoring in Physical Culture and Sports.

During his high school career, Wingo ranked No. 5 nationally, No. 2 among wide receivers, and No. 2 overall in the state of Missouri by 247Sports. Additionally, the youngster was ranked No. 28 nationally, No. 7 among wide receivers, and No. 2 overall in the state of Missouri by ESPN. Wingo was a multi-sport player when he was in high school. Apart from football, he also excelled in track and field. Wingo finished third in both the 100m and 200m in Missouri 5A.

As a five-star recruit, Wingo began his college football career with the University of Texas at Austin in 2024. It was against Colorado State when he made his collegiate debut. The player recorded four receptions for 70 yards as a true freshman and played in 10 games as a Longhorn. His 70 yards against the Rams were team-high, which also included a 30-yard snag. Additionally, he had a career day vs. UTSA when he recorded a team-high 127 yards and a touchdown.
