Rylie Mills is a college football player who plays for theNotre Dame Fighting Irish football team as of December 2024 and is in his senior year. The defensive tackle attended Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Illinois where he was a multi-sport player. Apart from football, he also took part in the shot put and discus. According to the Hawkeye Nation website, Rylie Mills was motivated by several universities and got scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Mills began his college football career when he provided his commitment to the University of Notre Dame and enrolled for the university early, beginning in the spring semester of 2020. Mills played in nine games as a true freshman in 2020 for Notre Dame and got his first start against Alabama in the 2021 Rose Bowl. In 2022, he played in all 13 games and concluded the season with 24 total tackles. 2024 Sporting News Second Team All-America, Watchlist for 2025 Senior Bowl, 2024 Team Captain, 2024 Lombardi Award Watch List, 2023 Notre Dame Fr. Lange Iron Cross Award, 2023 Shrine Bowl ‘Breakout Defensive Player of the Week’ – at Duke and 2023 The Athletic Freaks List – No. 10 are some of the honors and awards he has achieved.
