Sam Pittman has been a football head coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team since 2020. He will begin his fifth season with Arkansas in 2024. Under Pittman, the Razorbacks won their second consecutive season. The Razorbacks also won back-to-back bowl games. He rejuvenated the program, restoring pride and improving the team’s overall performance, especially on the defense. In 2023, his defensive unit restricted the opponents to just 202.8 yards per game and finished fourth which was the best result for the program since 2011. Pittman began his coaching career in 1985 and has a long history of working with offensive lines. He was the associate head coach and offensive line coach for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2016 to 2019. He has also coached several Power 5 programs and has over 30 years of collegiate experience.
