Iowa Hawkeyes defensive back Sebastian Castro has earned the starting role over the past three seasons. Castro began his high school football career at Richards High School where he was a captain during both his junior and senior seasons. Castro was rated a three-star recruit by every major sports outlet and was ranked the No.27 prospect in the state of Illinois. As a defensive back for the Bulldogs, Castro recorded 210 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11 interceptions and seven pass breakups. Despite several rumors, Castro refused to enter the transfer portal and decided to return to Iowa for one final season of college football.
