ESPN's FPI analytics favors the Texas Longhorns to win the SEC title, and have faded the Alabama Crimson Tide to nearly no chance at the title. Alabama's fate wasn't exactly surprising. But even off a loss, the network still has the Longhorns at a slightly better than 1-in-3 shot at winning the SEC, while Alabama slid to nearly 1-in-25.

Here's a rundown of ESPN's SEC odds.

Odds to win SEC title by team

#9. Vanderbilt (0.1% chance)

To steal the line of comic Jim Carrey, "So you're telling me there a chance?" Vandy's title odds are about the same as those of flipping a coin and having it come up heads seven times in a row.

#8. Missouri (0.8% chance)

The Tigers have just one loss this year, but seeing them as a 16.5-point underdog against Vanderbilt demonstrates that Missouri isn't seen as having a real shot at the SEC crown. Frankly, given their uneven performance on the field, even this just shy of 1% shot might be generous.

#7. Ole Miss (2.2% chance)

The Rebels have stumbled twice and still have some significant foes on the back end of their schedule. Lane Kiffin's team would be looking at a near-perfect storm to work their way back into SEC title contention.

#6. Alabama (4.2% chance)

The Crimson Tide, even after losing to Vanderbilt, still had a shot at the SEC crown. But a loss to Tennessee, their second of the season, probably drops Alabama out of the running. The longshot odds aren't any more attractive than Alabama's uneven play in October.

#5. Texas A&M (9.2% chance)

The Aggies might be one of the position surprises of the season. Coming in at just slightly better than 1-in-11 odds of winning the SEC, the Aggies have been an impressive surprise. If the Aggies can outlast LSU this weekend, their odds should improve.

#4. LSU (12.9% chance)

That said, the Tigers likewise still are hanging around the SEC race. LSU has just better than 1-in-8 odds at winning the SEC crown, which would have seemed unimaginable when they lost in Week 1 to a USC team that has become a train wreck. The Tigers have Texas A&M this week and after an off week, play Alabama. Win those and LSU is in the thick of the hunt.

#3. Tennessee (17.3% chance)

The Volunteers leaped to a better than 1 in 6 shot at the SEC championship off their win over Alabama. Their game at Georgia on Nov. 16 is probably the key here. The winner of that game is highly likely to reach the SEC title game. The Vols are well on their way.

#2. Georgia (19.0% chance)

Georgia's chances ebbed back up to nearly 1 in 5 after they bested Texas. The Bulldogs do have that loss to Alabama already and have yet to play Tennessee and Ole Miss. But Georgia's fate is probably in their own hands again, which is no small thing.

#1. Texas (34.4% chance)

Even after a loss, Texas remains the favorite to win the SEC crown. The Horns have a pretty smooth path the rest of the way, with Texas A&M in the season's last game as their toughest matchup. As long as Texas takes care of business, it should remain in the thick of the conference battle.
