Shedeur Sanders played his last college football game in the Alamo Bowl. The Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback had arguably his worst game of the season as the BYU Cougars beat the Buffs 36-14 in the bowl game. Following the game, there have been renewed discussions regarding his draft stock.

A report posted by JPAFootball on X (formerly known as Twitter) stated that NFL insider Tom Pelissero believes multiple scouts don't see Sanders as a first-round talent.

"I've already talked to people within the league who don't have anything close to a first-round grade on the guy,” Pelissero said.

The analyst said this on the Rich Eisen Show on Friday; however, it's unclear whether teams share his opinion about Sanders ahead of this year's draft.

Will Shedeur Sanders be a first-round pick?

Tom Pelissero's words come as a surprise as Shedeur Sanders has been viewed by many as the QB1 in this year's draft. The Colorado Buffaloes star has thrived under the tutelage of his father, Deion Sanders, and the quarterback received the Unitas Golden Arm Award.

Furthermore, multiple reliable draft projection sites such as CBS Sports, Bleacher Report, USA Today and ESPN have Sanders off the board in the early stages of the first round. It remains to be seen what red flags scouts saw to plummet his stock quickly.

Potential Shedeur Sanders landing spots

Here's a look at five potential landing spots for Shedeur Sanders:

1. New York Giants

Shedeur Sanders was throwing the ball to Malik Nabers during Heisman Trophy weekend, and he wore custom Giants cleats in the Alamo Bowl. The New York Giants need a new quarterback to lead their rebuild after Daniel Jones's departure, and Sanders could be the perfect fit.

If Sanders is available by the time they pick in round one, the Giants will likely take him off the draft board.

2. Las Vegas Raiders

Coach Prime subtly requested Antonio Pierce to draft his sons in 2025. Hence, don't be surprised if he obliges and picks Shedeur early in the draft.

3. Tennessee Titans

If the Titans are ready to end the Will Levis experience, Shedeur is the perfect fit. His patience in the pocket and rocket arm could be key in the side's rebuild quest.

4. Cleveland Browns

The Browns have restructured Deshaun Watson's deal, but that doesn't mean they won't be in the market for a new QB if the opportunity arises. Hence, don't count out Shedeur taking snaps for Cleveland later this year.

5. New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers is again going through his annual "ponder with retirement" motions. However, this season might be his last. That would leave the Jets needing a new and exciting franchise QB; step in, Shedeur Sanders.
