Sherrone Moore's Michigan Wolverines are the defending champions in the upcoming college football season. After Jim Harbaugh's victorious 15-0 run in 2023, he passed the torch to Moore, owing to his new head coaching job with the LA Chargers.

Before taking the head coaching job, Moore was Michigan's tight end coach for three years before he moved on to his new role as offensive line coach for them.

After losing big names like Blake Corum, JJ McCarthy, and Jim Harbaugh, all eyes will be on Sherrone Moore to carry Michigan's winning momentum into the next college football season.

During a conversation with popular college football analyst Joel Klatt on "The Joel Klatt Show," Moore opened up about the expectations going into the season and how he was handling the pressure of being the defending champions.

"Yeah, it doesn't weigh on me. I mean, I think about it, but I'm not gonna let put pressure on me. I just want to get better every day. That's work on this process. We talked about that. Still with the players, I'm not gonna let it drain me or try to think about that too much. It's gonna work on trying to get better at what I can do every single day to make this team the best," Moore said (16:50).

Josh Pate reveals why he doesn't think Michigan will win a natty in 2024

Michigan will be the fan favorite going into the season. However, college football analyst Josh Pate shared his thoughts on Wolverine's chances of taking the title home for a second year in a row.

"Here's why I am not as high on them repeating as a national champion. Because I'm not high on anyone repeating as a national champion from this point moving forward," Pate said (via Sports Illustrated).
"That could be Georgia, if that could be Ohio State, it could be whoever. It's extremely hard to do this. It always has been. It's just going to be a lot more harder with the random variability-esque things thrown in that a 12-team playoff brings," he continued.

After Jim Harbaugh's departure, several Wolverines entered the transfer portal. Sherrone Moore has done a good job of replacing the talent and giving Michigan a chance at winning a national championship title in 2024.
