Football fans strongly disagree with Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders' optimistic 2025 NFL draft projections for his sons, specifically Shilo. During Wednesday's appearance on Good Morning America, Sanders announced plans to host a draft celebration in Boulder, Colorado.
Sanders said, detailing his vision for the draft day with sons Shedeur, Shilo, and Travis Hunter:
"We are going to do it in Boulder, Colorado and celebrate it with the fans in the gymnasium."
Sanders predicted elite draft positions for two of the prospects.
“Those two are probably going the first two to three picks, amazing. That's what we're projecting,” he added.
Social media quickly challenged Sanders' assessment, particularly regarding Shilo. One fan dismissed the projection outright:
"Shilo is NOT an NFL talent. CFL maybe."
Another response simply mocked the suggestion:
“Bro said Shilo” accompanied by crying emojis.
“Travis said he going to Greenbay to walk that stage lol check his podcast,” one wrote.
“It's not about the players or the fans. Everything prime does is for prime. Very calculated and strategic,” another wrote.
“Shilo won’t get drafted . Kid is dogsh*t,” another wrote.
“You sure they going top 2?,” a fan wrote.
Shilo Sanders faces a different draft outlook than fellow CU stars
Travis Hunter's path to the 2025 NFL draft stands out among Colorado's prospects. The Heisman Trophy winner made FBS history as the only player to log more than 150 snaps on both offense and defense.
Shedeur Sanders dominated college football's passing statistics, leading the nation with a 74.2% completion rate. He ranked in the top five for passing touchdowns (35), yards per game (327.2) and pass efficiency (168.8).
Their teammate Shilo Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, faces a different draft outlook. Most mock drafts place him in the seventh round or as an Undrafted Free Agent (UDFA). He ranks 243rd overall and 52nd at his position on current draft boards.
