Safety Shilo Sanders and the No. 23-ranked Colorado Buffaloes will play the Alamo Bowl on Saturday against the No. 17-ranked BYU Cougars. The game will kick off on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. This will be the final college football game of Sanders' career.

It has not been an easy season for Sanders, as he struggled with injuries early in the season. He suffered a broken forearm while making an open-field tackle against Nebraska early in the season. He underwent surgery to get it repaired and missed a month of the season as a result.

However, he eventually returned against Kansas State in October and has not aggravated the injury since. He has been a full-time player for the Buffaloes since he returned from injury. As a result, he is expected to be available for Coach Prime and the Buffaloes when they play the BYU Cougars on Saturday.

Is Shilo Sanders playing this week?

While Shilo Sanders has no injury concerns for Saturday's game against BYU, some fans might worry that he could opt out of the game. He is draft-eligible, and risking injury is often something potential draft picks are not willing to risk.

However, Sanders is not expected to be a high draft pick, and as a result, he could benefit from having a good performance in a high-profile game. Additionally, coach Deion Sanders has indicated that all of his draft-eligible players will participate in the Alamo Bowl. He initially said this at a press conference a month ago.

"Our kids are gonna play in our bowl game, because that’s what we signed up to do and we’re gonna finish. We’re not gonna tap out, because that throws off the structure of next season. There’s a couple (teams), you take note, they lay an egg in the bowl game and they haven’t recovered since. We don’t plan on doing that," he said.

As a result, not only will Shilo Sanders be available in the backfield for the Colorado Buffaloes, but so will stars Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. Since there are not expected to be many opt-outs for either team, this is one of the most anticipated non-playoff bowl games.

It is one of the only non-playoff bowl games with multiple ranked teams participating. So, fans looking for a competitive matchup should consider turning on the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. It should be a tightly contested game.
