Sonny Styles is a linebacker who has been playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes for the past two years. Styles commenced his high school football career at Pickerington Central High School where he was ranked the No.3 player in the state of Ohio. He was reclassified in the 2022 recruiting class and graduated early in his junior year. The five-year prospect compiled 88 tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and two pass deflections during his prep career at Pickerington Central.

Coming out of Pickerington as the No.29 player in the 2022 recruiting class, Styles embarked on his collegiate football journey with Ohio State over offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Indiana, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and many more. In his freshman season with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Styles appeared in 12 games as a 17-year-old freshman and played 12 snaps in Ohio State’s loss to Georgia in the Peach Bowl. He also registered nine tackles in 12 games. Last season as a sophomore, Styles gained the starting job as safety and saw action in 12 games. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound safety decided to switch his position to linebacker ahead of the 2024 season.
