The Hawaii Bowl featuring the South Florida Bulls and San Jose State Spartans will kick off on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.

Neither team will have full rosters because of injuries and opt-outs.

South Florida injuries

Byrum Brown

Starting quarterback Byrum Brown has not been available for the Bulls since Week 5 because of a lower-body injury. He is listed as questionable on the injury report.

K'Wan Powell

Running back K'Wan Powell has not played this season because of an undisclosed injury. He is listed as questionable.

South Florida transfer portal entrants

Tawfiq Byard

Starting safety Tawfiq Byard has entered the transfer portal and is unavailable. He has not signed with a new team yet.

Doug Blue-Eli

Starting defensive tackle Doug Blue-Eli entered the transfer portal. He signed with Rutgers.

Andrew Kilfoyl

Starting left guard Andrew Kilfoyl has entered the transfer portal but has not signed with another team yet.

Aamaris Brown-Bunkley

Cornerback Aamaris Brown-Bunkley has entered the transfer portal but has not signed yet. He played 75 snaps this season.

San Jose State injuries

Malikhi Miller

Wide receiver Malikhi Miller is questionable for the Spartans. He has not played this season because of an undisclosed injury.

San Jose State transfer portal entrants

DJ Harvey

Starting cornerback DJ Harvey is not available for the Hawaii Bowl because he entered the transfer portal. He has reportedly signed with USC with his final season of NCAA eligibility.

Michael Dansby

Starting cornerback Michael Dansby has entered the transfer portal but has not signed with a new team yet. He has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining.

Emmett Brown

Backup quarterback Emmett Brown participated in eight games for the San Jose State Spartans in his first full college season. However, he will be unavailable for the Hawaii Bowl because he has entered the transfer portal. He has three years of eligibility remaining and has not signed with a new team yet.

Nick Nash

Star wide receiver Nick Nash has not entered the transfer portal, but he is still an opt-out for the Spartans. Rather than entering the transfer portal, he has declared for the 2025 NFL draft. As a result, he has decided to skip the bowl game.
