Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Squirrel White is one of the fastest wide receivers in college football known for his explosive speed. During his prep career, White attended Clay-Chalkville High School where he was rated a three-star prospect by all major sport outlets. In his senior year of high school, White recorded 49 receptions on 1,162 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns. He also won the Alabama 6A State Football championship as a junior and held 21 Division I offers. Coming out of Clay-Chalkville as the No.23 prospect in the state of Alabama in the 2022 recruiting class, White started his collegiate football journey with Tennessee over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, Florida State, Michigan, and Georgia Tech.
In his true freshman year with the Volunteers, White saw action in 12 games as a speedy slot receiver, catching 30 passes for 481 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the program with 108 receiving yards in the 2022 Orange Bowl against Clemson. Last season as a sophomore, White had a productive season where he started all 12 games at wide receiver and led the Volunteers with 64 catches for 764 yards. In his first two seasons at Knoxville, the speedy wide receiver amassed 97 receptions for 1,284 yards and is entering his third important season with the program.
