Loreal Sarkisian is a Texas fashion icon and the wife of Steve Sarkisian, the Longhorns' coach. She is a regular fixture at Longhorns games, where she shows off her game-day outfits.
Loreal turned heads again on Wednesday, rocking a glamorous look to UT's College Football Playoff quarterfinal game against the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl.
Loreal Sarkisian is the first lady of Texas football
Loreal Sarkisian married Steve Sarkisian in 2020, and she's been a regular at Texas games since he took over the job with the Longhorns. The fashion enthusiast has earned the nickname "The First Lady of Texas Football" from the Longhorns fan base.
She has been by Sarkisian's side as he's steadily guided the program to become one of the elites of college football. Loreal has a close relationship with the fan base and rarely misses a game when she's in the country.
Her commitment to the Longhorns has been even more impressive this season, considering that she and Steve jointly filed for divorce in July 2024. They've kept a united front as the Longhorns aim to go all the way.
Steve Sarkisian is chasing his first national championship
The Texas Longhorns hired Steve Sarkisian as their 31st head coach on Jan. 2, 2021. Sarkisian came to UT after an excellent second stint with the Alabama Crimson Tide, in which he won the 2020 Broyles Award as the best assistant coach in college football.
The Texas Longhorns job was Sarkisian's third head coach gig after mixed spells with the Washington Huskies and USC Trojans. A lot was expected from Sarkisian after he rebuilt his career as an offensive coordinator for Nick Saban on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He's mostly delivered as he'd guided the Texas Longhorns to back-to-back playoff appearances. He's pursuing the first national championship of his head coaching career.
