Arkansas Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman shared an injury update on quarterback Taylen Green ahead of Saturday's big matchup against No. 8 LSU. Green, who hurt his knee in the Razorbacks’ upset win over Tennessee, is questionable for the game.

During his Monday press conference, Pittman remained hopeful that Green will be ready.

"We're hopeful that he'll be ready to go," he said. "So, I feel like he will, but we'll have to wait and see a little bit more. I'll probably know a little bit more about Wednesday. Tuesday or Wednesday.”

Green has been crucial to Arkansas' offense, especially with his dual-threat ability, racking up 326 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season. While his injury didn’t involve ligament damage, he has been monitored on day-to-day due to a bone bruise.

In last week's win over Tennessee, Green was having one of his best performances until the injury forced backup Malachi Singleton to step in. Singleton delivered, securing the game with a late touchdown.

With LSU looming, all eyes are on Green’s recovery, but Pittman remains confident.

“We're hoping that he's ready to play and we think he'll be able to," Pittman added.

Arkansas will make a final decision on Green as they prepare for their 6 p.m. CT kickoff in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks (4-2, 2-1 SEC) are gearing up for a big home game this weekend, taking on No. 8 LSU (5-1, 2-0) under the lights. LSU is riding a five-game win streak after an overtime victory against Ole Miss, bouncing back strongly since their season-opening loss to Southern California.

Coach Sam Pittman mentioned that Arkansas will get a clearer picture of quarterback Taylen Green’s status as the team goes through practice this week. Meanwhile, left guard Patrick Kutas practiced throughout the bye week, his first consistent action since fall camp. Kutas, who was expected to start this season, has been sidelined for the first six games due to a back injury.

On defense, cornerback Jaylon Braxton is uncertain for the LSU matchup. Despite feeling optimistic last week, Pittman doesn’t expect Braxton, who hs been out for four games with tendonitis, to suit up. Jaheim Singletary has filled in for Braxton, with Kee'yon Stewart contributing as well.

Arkansas running back Rodney Hill is likely out for the game against LSU, according to Coach Pittman. Hill missed the win over Tennessee due to an MCL injury. He’s been the team's No. 2 running back this season, but freshman Braylon Russell is stepping up.
