The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs will host the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles during week 2. The game is on Saturday and will kick off at 2 p.m. EDT.
Last week, Georgia had a convincing 34-3 win over the Clemson Tigers, which only further demonstrated Kirby Smart’s team's strength. In contrast, Tennessee Tech was defeated by Middle Tennessee State on the last play of the game.
Heading into Saturday's game, both teams are dealing with injuries. Here is a look at their injury report.
Georgia Injury Report
There are six players on the Georgia Injury Report.
Mykel Williams
Defensive End Mykel Williams is out for the game with a Grade 2 ankle sprain. Williams was injured during the Clemson game and was in doubt for this game. Luckily for Georgia, Kirby Smart confirmed that the injury is not long-term, and Williams should return in a couple of weeks.
Roderick Robinson
Running back Roderick Robinson is also out for the game with a toe injury.
Warren Brinson and Xavier McLeod
Defensive Tackles Warren Brinson and Xavier McLeod are both doubtful for the Tennessee Tech game. Brinson left the Clemson game with a bruised ankle.
A player who may be back for this game is defensive back Joenel Aguero. He missed the Clemson game but there is a chance for him to play against Tennessee Tech. Smart said:
"Joenel (Aguero) was close to being able to play and worked out before the game. I thought he might be able to go in case of an emergency."
Finally, after being suspended for the first game of the season, star running back Trevor Etienne is set to play.
Tennessee Tech Injury Report
The Golden Eagles only have one player on the injury report. However, it is a key player.
Dylan Laible
Starting quarterback Dylan Laible will miss the game after being injured in the defeat to Middle Tennessee State. The injury occurred early in the game and Laible was replaced by Jordyn Potts for the game. Potts had a good game, as he threw for 256 yards and three TDs.
Potts will continue being the starting quarterback for now and will face off against the best team in college football on Saturday.
