No. 7 Tennessee (7-1, 4-1 SEC) will host one of the weakest opponents in the SEC, the Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-7, 0-5) on Saturday. The game at Neyland Stadium also represents an opportunity for the Volunteers to climb back into the top five, following the unexpected defeat of the No. 4 Miami Hurricanes to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Tyre West Injury Update

Defensive lineman Tyre West was listed as unavailable on Friday's SEC student-athlete availability report, which officially ruled him out of Saturday's encounter against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

West is a junior who's a member of Tennessee's defensive rotation. The defensive lineman has recorded 12 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, two sacks, one quarterback hurry, and one forced fumble in eight games this season.

Mario Craver's and De'Monte Russell's Injury Update

The Bulldogs seem to have one of their best offensive playmakers back for their encounter against the Volunteers. Mario Craver is listed as probable for Saturday's encounter against Tennessee.

Craver is second in the Bulldogs roster in receiving yardage, with 355 yards and three touchdown catches in 16 receptions. That is despite not having played in the last two weeks. He's averaging 22 yards per catch, making him Mississippi State's most explosive player.

Mississippi State's defensive line troubles should improve a bit this weekend, as they will have De'Monte Russell back on the field. Despite not having had the best of seasons, Russell is one of the leaders of this defense and the senior's experience is an important asset for the Bulldogs.
