We have a thrilling SEC Week 3 matchup as the Texas A&M Aggies are heading to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on the Florida Gators. The Aggies (1-1, 0-0 SEC) are coming off a 52-10 home win over the McNeese Cowboys on September 7. Sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman played well as he was 11-of-14 for 125 yards with a pair of passing touchdowns while also having four carries for 39 yards (9.8 yards per attempt).
The Gators (1-1, 0-0) are looking to start a winning streak as they are coming off Saturday's 45-7 over the Samford Bulldogs. Freshman quarterback DJ Lagway had an incredible game as he finished going 18-of-25 for 456 yards with three passing touchdowns, while also running five times for 16 yards (3.2 yards per carry).
Texas A&M vs. Florida prediction
DJ Lagway is expected to do well and the Florida Gators are going to use both him and Graham Mertz in this game. While Billy Napier has not come out and shared how he plans on doing so, this creates two different game plans for the Aggies defense to prepare for.
With running back Montrell Johnson Jr. playing well and this game being at home, expect the Florida Gators to do well enough defensively to win this game as a home underdog.
