Texas A&M vs USC opt-outs and injury report: Top players not participating in Las Vegas Bowl

The Texas A&M and USC will compete in the Las Vegas Bowl on Friday. The Aggies and Trojans will get started at 10:30 p.m. ET. However, neither will be at full strength as a result of injuries and opt-outs.

Ar'maj Reed-Adams

Offensive lineman Ar'maj Reed-Adams was seen in a sling in the lead-up to the Las Vegas Bowl. He is not expected to participate.

Rueben Owens

Head coach Mike Elko told reporters that although running back Rueben Owens has progressed well over the past four weeks, he will not be available for the Las Vegas Bowl.

Texas A&M opt-outs

Cyrus Allen

Starting wide receiver Cyrus Allen has entered the transfer portal and will not be available. He has not picked a team.

TJ Shanahan

Offensive lineman TJ Shanahan has entered the transfer portal. He played 285 snaps this season.

Kam Dewberry

Offensive guard Kam Dewberry will not be available for the bowl game after signing with Alabama.

Malick Sylla

Defensive end Malick Sylla is in the transfer portal and unavailable. He played 60 snaps this season.

Conner Weigman

Conner Weigman was the original starter this season, but he will not play the Las Vegas Bowl. He transferred to Houston.

USC injuries

Woody Marks

Starting running back Woody Marks got hurt in the final game of the regular season and will not be available. However, his status was already in question because he declared he would be in the 2025 NFL draft.

Starting right tackle Mason Murphy has signed with Auburn and will be unavailable.

Starting wide receiver Kyron Hudson will not play in the Las Vegas Bowl after signing with Penn State.

Starting wide receiver Duce Robinson has signed with Florida State and will not play the bowl game.

Starting wide receiver Zachariah Branch is unavailable after entering the transfer portal.

Quinten Joyner

Backup running back Qunten Joyner played 210 snaps this season but is unavailable after signing with Texas Tech.

Kade Eldridge

Kade Eldridge officially transferred to Washington. He played 234 snaps this year.

Zion Branch

Safety Zion Branch has entered the transfer portal. He played 217 snaps this season.

Sam Greene

Linebacker Sam Greene signed with Kentucky and will not play in the bowl game.

Elijah Hughes

Defensive lineman Elijah Hughes has entered the transfer portal after playing 126 snaps this year.
