The Big Ten has emerged as a major conference linked with FSU amidst widespread rumors of conference realignment. The Atlantic Coast Conference is embroiled in a legal battle with FSU, and the Seminoles want out of the ACC.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum discussed Florida State's future a bit and their connection with the Big Ten Conference. However, he does not seem to believe the two parties are the right fit for one another.

"I know Florida State thinks they're heavily in demand, but there are some questions about what exactly they bring to the Big Ten. They don't fit in the Big Ten model. The Big Ten, I believe, other than Nebraska, has highly accredited schools, and I don't think Florida State really qualifies for that," Paul Finebaum said. h/t Athlon Sports

Florida State is definitely going to be towards the top of the conference realignment conversations if they find a way to leave the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Will the Florida State Seminoles wind up with the Big Ten Conference?

The Florida State Seminoles have been one of the more exciting programs in the conference realignment pool. Under the assumption that the Seminoles are able to leave the ACC, the Big Ten Conference makes the most sense for a new home for the school.

Understanding what Paul Finebaum is saying, there is not going to be a rush for the Southeastern Conference to add Florida State. That leaves the Big Ten and the Big 12 Conferences as the only logical options. While the Big Ten may not be a perfect fit, Big 12 Conference Commissioner Brett Yormark has shown they are going to expand with universities that excel in multiple major college sports.

The Florida State Seminoles have been doing well but the most likely situation is that they leave for the Big Ten Conference. There is a possibility to see the Seminoles stay in the ACC but it all depends on the decision of the FSU vs. ACC case.
