The 2026 college football class is loaded with talent from top to bottom. A few of these young superstars have already made commitments to play for a number of the top college football programs, while others continue to narrow down their choices.

These players still have time to raise or lower their national rating depending on how they play, as the ratings continuously fluctuate. Here is an early look at 10 of the top college football recruits in the class of 2026.

#10 Tyler Atkinson, LB

On3 ranks four-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson as the No. 1 linebacker in the 2026 class. He has 49 offers, with Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Tennessee as the top preferences.

#9 Faizon Brandon, QB

Grimsley High School's Faizon Brandon is the top-ranked quarterback by On3 and 247Sports in the class of 2026. The five-star QB has 25 offers from top college football programs, with Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State and NC State leading the way to land Brandon.

#8 Anthony Jones, EDGE

Anthony Jones is the top-ranked edge rusher by 247Sports and ESPN in the class of 2026. The Mobile, AL, native has a lot of interest from college football teams in the Southeastern Conference, including Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Georgia.

#7 Jared Curtis, QB

Four-star QB Jared Curtis threw for 2,522 yards and 25 touchdowns last season while adding over 500 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. Curtis has already committed to playing for Georgia at the college level and ranks as the top QB in his class by ESPN.

#6 Lamar Brown, IOL

University Lab High School's Lamar Brown is the top-rated interior offensive lineman by On3, 247Sports and ESPN. He is among the top two college football recruits in his class from Louisiana. Brown is another recruit with numerous offers from SEC teams including LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Auburn.

#5 Kendre Harrison, TE

Kenre Harrison is the top-ranked TE in the class of 2026. He finished his 2023 campaign with 17 receptions, 263 yards, and five touchdowns. North Carolina seems to be a top landing spot for Harrison at the next level. He has also unofficially visited Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Florida State.

#4 Jahkeem Stewart, DL

St. Augustine High School's Jahkeem Stewart is one of the most skilled defensive linemen in the 2026 college football recruiting class. Stewart is a five-star recruit, according to On3 and ESPN.

Stewart could stay in his home state to play for the LSU Tigers. But he also has offers from other top college football teams, including Alabama, Texas, USC and Alabama.

#3 Immanuel Iheanacho, OT

Offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho is a five-star recruit from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, MD. He is the top player in the class of 2026 from Maryland and the highest-rated OT by On3 and 247Sports.

He's received offers to play college football for 23 of the nation's top programs and has made just one unofficial visit to Penn State.

#2 Jackson Cantwell, OT

Jackson Cantwell is one of the top offensive linemen in the class of 2026 and a star in shotput. He is the top recruit from Missouri.

Missouri Tigers, his home state, are one of the 28 programs that have made an offer to Cantwell, along with Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida.

#1 Chris Henry Jr., WR

Chris Henry Jr. will play for Mater Dei in 2024 after transferring from Withrow. Henry is the ideal size for a dominant receiver and moves extremely well.

He is a five-star recruit and the top wide receiver in the class of 2026. Henry has already committed to playing for Ohio State and could earn significant playing time as a freshman with future NFL Draft upside.
