The 2024 college football season continues as the calendar turns to Week 5. There have already been multiple upsets and wins that could have major College Football Playoff implications later this season.

#1: Travis Hunter
Travis Hunter initially joined the Jackson State Tigers as a five-star prospect and the top-ranked overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He has been among the best players in the nation on both sides of the ball since joining the Colorado Buffaloes via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 college football season.
Hunter has recorded 14 total tackles, nine of which were solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, one forced fumble and two passes defended.
#2: Will Johnson
Will Johnson joined the Michigan Wolverines as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
He has gotten off to a great start, recording 11 total tackles, ten of which were solo tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, both of which he has returned for touchdowns and three passes defended.
#3: Nohl Williams
Nohl Williams initially joined the UNLV Rebels as a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He transferred to the California Golden Bears ahead of the 2023 season and has been among the biggest breakout stars this year.
He has 12 total tackles, nine of which were solo tackles, four interceptions and three passes defended.
#4: Cam Lockridge
Cam Lockridge initially joined the Reedley College Tigers as an unranked prospect in the 2019 recruiting class before joining the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors the following year.
After a strong season in 2021, he joined the Fresno State Bulldogs via the transfer portal. He has 19 total tackles, ten of which were solo tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and four passes defended.
#5: Xavier Scott
Xavier Scott joined the Illinois Fighting Illini as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
He has 18 total tackles, 16 of which were solo tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, three interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, one forced fumble and two passes defended.
#6: Jermari Harris
Jermari Harris joined the Iowa Hawkeyes as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class. He has nine total tackles, six of which were solo tackles, two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, and five passes defended.
#7: Charles Brantley
Charles Brantley joined the Michigan State Spartans as a three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.
He has 12 total tackles, nine of which were solo tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, and four passes defended.
#8: Mansoor Delane
Mansoor Delane joined the Virginia Tech Hokies as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He has 11 total tackles, nine of which were solo tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble and four passes defended.
#9: Ethan O'Connor
Ethan O'Connor joined the Washington State Cougars as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class.
After redshirting his true freshman season, he has been a breakout player, recording 14 total tackles, 11 of which were solo tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions and three passes defended.
#10: Marcus Harris
Marcus Harris initially joined the Oregon State Beavers as a two-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class before joining the Idaho Vandals via the transfer portal two years later.
He joined the California Golden Bears via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. Harris has recorded 11 total tackles, ten of which were solo tackles, two interceptions and two passes defended.
