Texas A&M star wide receiver Noah Thomas will be looking for greener pastures as he has entered the transfer portal. The 6-6, 200-pound wide receiver has the ideal size to play on the outside.

He finished the season with 39 receptions for 534 yards and eight touchdowns. It was his most productive season yet for the Pearland, Texas native. He has one more year of college eligibility.

Noah Thomas is expected to be pursued by several top programs. On3’s Pete Nakos reported Texas, Miami, and Georgia are among the schools interested in landing the junior wide receiver. Several schools will likely join the list in the coming days.

Here are some of the programs that could be a good fit for the Aggies wide receiver.

Top 3 landing spots for Texas A&M Noah Thomas

#3. Tennessee Volunteers

The Volunteers have a strong foundation. After years of struggling in the middle of the SEC, Tennessee finally made it to the College Football Playoff this year. While schools like Miami and Georgia could look to improve the receiver corps, the Vols need a top-level wide receiver for Nico Imalaeva.

The Tennessee quarterback is experienced and flashed some talent. But no Volunteers wideout caught more than 35 balls in 2024. Their top two receivers are out of eligibility.

Against Ohio State, the Vols showed they are still a step below the top contenders. Adding Noah Thomas is a step in the right direction.

#2. SMU Mustangs

The Mustangs took a step forward in making the College Football Playoff this year. But if they want to become a championship contender they need to add more talent across the board.

SMU was already looking for a top wide receiver. Keeping the in-state product in Texas would give them a solid starter opposite Key’Shawn Smith. It would also allow Noah Thomas to play in a more explosive passing attack, which could allow him to increase his production thinking of a future in the NFL.

#1. Texas Longhorns

Sticking with the in-state options, the Texas Longhorns could have several spots available on the depth chart. Isaiah Bond and Matthew Golden are expected to declare for the draft while Silas Bolden is graduating.

The Longhorns will also have a stand-out quarterback throwing the ball with Arch Manning expected to take over for Quinn Ewers. Texas is also a perennial championship contender and has a solid program.

All of this could mean big production and improving his profile for the Draft if Noah Thomas decides to turn pro. For Sarkisian and the Longhorns, adding a proven weapon for Manning would be ideal with so many pieces leaving the team.
