The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft has come to an end, and Rounds 2 and 3 are set for Friday.
Heading into Day 2, there's still plenty of talent available, including several SEC players who were thought of being a first-round pick. Let's take a look at the top 5 SEC players heading into Day 2 of the NFL Draft.

Top five SEC players to watch out for in Round 2
#1 Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
Kool-Aid McKinstry was thought of as a potential first-round pick, but he didn't hear his name called in the opening round.
McKinstry will hear his name called early in the second round, as he's the third-best player available, according to ESPN's Big Board. Last season at Alabama, McKinstry recorded 32 tackles and seven pass defenses.
#2 Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
Ladd McConkey was a borderline first-round pick, but the Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver should be drafted early on Day 2.
McConkey is the top-ranked offensive player available, according to ESPN, and the fourth-best player available.
Last season at Georgia, McConkey had 30 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns.
#3 Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper will be having his name called likely in the early to middle part of the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Cooper played four seasons with the Aggies, and last season, he recorded 83 tackles, two pass defenses, eight sacks and two forced fumbles. Cooper is the 10th-ranked best player available, according to ESPN.
#4 Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Kamari Lassiter will likely hear his name in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Lassiter is the seventh-ranked cornerback, according to ESPN, and the 13th-best player available. Last season, Lassiter recorded 37 tackles, eight pass defenses, and 0.5 sacks.
#5 Maason Smith, DT, LSU

LSU Tigers defensive tackle Maason Smith is the 17th-ranked best player available, according to ESPN.
Smith played two years at LSU, and last season with the Tigers, he recorded 27 tackles, two pass defenses and 2.5 sacks. In his freshman season, he recorded 19 tackles, including four sacks.
