Ty Robinson is an American college football player who will be returning for his final year of college football with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Robinson started his football career at Higley High School where he was regarded as one of the most coveted defensive linemen in the nation. He was tabbed the No.4 player in the state of Arizona by every major sports outlet. In his final season of prep career, Robinson recorded 74 tackles and seven sacks. Robinson was ranked the No.166 overall recruit in the nation in the class of 2019 by ESPN. The four-star defender from Gilbert embarked on his collegiate football journey with Nebraska Cornhuskers despite receiving offers from Division I schools like Alabama, Arizona State, Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Penn State, USC and Oregon.

In his freshman season, Robinson played in only three games and redshirted his first year as a Cornhusker. In 2020 as a redshirt freshman, Robinson appeared in all eight games in the COVID-hit season and finished the year with 17 tackles with two tackles for loss. Again in 2021, Robinson saw action in 12 games and recorded 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss, and two sacks. In 2022, Robinson was honoured with Nebraska’s co-Defensive Lineman of the Year after recording 24 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. Last season, Robinson followed up with better numbers as he posted a career-high 29 tackles with four tackles for loss and was an instrument part of the Blackshirt defense. Following the conclusion of the 2023 regular season, Robinson announced his intention to return to Lincoln for his sixth and final year of eligibility.
