Ty Robinson is an American football defensive line who will be playing his fifth season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He attended the Higley High School where he was rated one of the most coveted defensive linemen coming out of Arizona State. He became Higley’s first-ever player to receive the All-America honors. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound defensive end helped his school to reach the State semifinals in his senior season where he totaled 34 tackles for losses and seven sacks. Robinson embarked on his collegiate football journey with Nebraska over offers from Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, USC, and Texas A&M among others.
As a true freshman in 2019 with the Cornhuskers, Robinson saw action in three games, preserving his redshirt eligibility before playing all eight games in the COVID season. The following year as a redshirt freshman, the Gilbert, Arizona native appeared in all 12 games and recorded 27 tackles, 4.0 tackles for a loss, and two sacks. He was named Nebraska’s co-defensive Lineman of the Year in 2022. After stacking up 91 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, and five sacks over the last five seasons with the Blackshirts, Ty Robinson returns to Lincoln for his final year of eligibility in 2024.
