Tyler Shough is a quarterback for the Louisiana Cardinals and will be a redshirt senior in 2024. He started his college football career at Oregon Ducks in 2020 and transferred to Texas Tech in 2024. Shough played three seasons for Texas Tech, during his tenure, he threw 2,922 yards for 20 touchdowns. During the 2023 season, Shough registered 746 passing yards for seven touchdowns and was named in the Shrine Bowl 1,000 list. Shough led Texas Tech to an undefeated record during the 2022 season and also received the MVP in the TaxAct Texas Bowl for his brilliant performance. As a junior in 2016, Shough registered 2,079 passing yards for 27 touchdowns and earned an honorable mention in the All-Premier League list. Shough was invited to participate in the Elite 11 camp for being the nation’s one of the top quarterback prospects. Shough was rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports, and was ranked as the No. 1 player in Arizona by Rivals and 247Sports. Shough also received the first-team scholar-athlete award for his off-field success, from the National Football Foundation's Valley of the Sun chapter. For his remarkable high school career, Shough received numerous scholarship offers from Michigan, Georgia, and Alabama, before committing to the University of Oregon.
