Tyler Shough is an American college football quarterback who will be playing his final year of college football with the Louisville Cardinals. Shough began playing high school football at the Hamilton High School where he threw 3,071 yards with 30 touchdowns and five interceptions as a senior. During his varsity years, he was one of the top quarterbacks in the country and was rated as the No.1 in the state of Arizona. He was a consensus four-star recruit in the 2018 recruiting class. Shough was an honorable mention All-Premier in his junior season.
The former four-star quarterback initially committed to North Carolina before signing with Oregon Ducks in December 2018. He spent three years at Oregon and recorded 1,703 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions over his 15 career games. After the conclusion of the COVID-19 season, Shough decided to enter the transfer portal and signed with Texas Tech with three years of eligibility remaining. He pushed the Raiders to an undefeated season as the starting quarterback in 2022. Shough concluded his Red Raiders career with 2,922 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. He decided to enter the transfer portal for the second time and transferred to the Louisville Cardinals for his seventh and final season of college. football.
