The UCLA Bruins are on the road to play the Washington Huskies on Friday, November 15, at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
UCLA (4-5, 3-4 Big Ten) is coming off a 20-17 win over Iowa for its third successive victory in a row. On the other hand, Washington (5-5, 3-4 Big Ten) is coming off a 6-35 loss to Penn State.
UCLA vs. Washington: Preview
UCLA is a 3.5-point road underdog, while the over/under is set at 47 points.
The Bruins are coming off a big win over Iowa on the road. UCLA scored 17 points in the second quarter to take a 17-10 lead at half time, which proved to be the difference.
“Just exactly what UCLA is," coach DeShaun Foster said after the Iowa win via SI. "It’s a university that’s not exactly what that man said from the Yankees. This is for life. UCLA has been taking care of me for a long time."
"People wouldn’t come around, alumni wouldn’t want to be around if they haven’t done the same for them. This is a great university, and we’re lucky that we’re all able to be Bruins, and I’m glad that we’re putting out the kind of product that makes people want to come out and support us,” he added.
UCLA is led by Ethan Garbers, who has thrown for 1,906 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The Bruins are led by T.J. Harden, who has 351 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, UCLA is led by Carson Schwesinger and Bryan Addison, who have two interceptions, and Oluwafemi Oladejo who has three sacks.
Washington, meanwhile, is coming off a disappointing loss to Penn State. The Huskies were dominated from start to finish.
"They were able to do what they wanted to do on offense, and we weren’t able to do what we wanted to do on offense," coach Jedd Fisch said after the Penn State game via UWHuskies Wire. "So, it became a tough [first] half. I’m proud of our guys for the way they came back in the second half and really kept them to one touchdown on their side and kicked a couple of field goals on our side."
"But I thought our guys competed and had some opportunities here and there to make some plays, but overall we just weren’t as good as they were tonight,” he added.
The Huskies are led by Will Rogers, who has thrown for 2,343 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Jonah Coleman has rushed for 913 yards and seven touchdowns. Denzel Boston has 717 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Defensively, the team is led by Carson Bruener, who has three interceptions, and Isaiah Ward, who has three sacks.
This should be a great game, as UCLA has found its stride. But after a frustrating loss to Penn State, Washington at home should come out strong and edge out a close win here.
Prediction: Washington 27, UCLA 24.
