UNLV vs Boise State: Preview

UNLV is a 7.5-point road favorite and the over/under is 62 points.

The Rebels are on a two-game winning streak and still have a chance to play in the Mountain West championship game but need to win out.

“Everything that we want to try to accomplish is within our control, and it starts with getting to the Mountain West championship game,” UNLV coach Barry Odom said on Nov. 4, via Las Vegas Sun. “That’s still there. We do need some help, we understand that. But if we go win the next [three] and finish 10-2 in the regular season, my belief is we’ll be in the championship game.”

UNLV is led by Hajj-Malik Williams who has thrown for 1,436 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. He is also the team's leading rusher with 646 yards and eight TDs. Ricky White III has 867 receiving yards and 10 TDs.

Defensively, UNLV is led by Jalen Catalon's five interceptions, Antonio Doyle Jr.'s five sacks and Jackson Woodard's 99 tackles.

Meanwhile, San Jose State lost to Boise State despite having an early lead.

"The score wasn't indicative of the game," San Jose State coach Ken Niumatalolo said on Saturday, via 247Sports.

The Spartans are led by Walker Eget who has thrown for 1,758 yards, six TDs and eight interceptions. Floyd Chalk IV has rushed for 596 yards and nine TDs, while Nick Nash leads the team with 1,282 receiving yards and 12 TDs.

Defensively, San Jose State is led by Robert Rahimi with four interceptions, Soane Toia with 4.5 sacks and Jordan Pollard with 90 tackles.

The Rebels will come out strong as Williams has been solid at quarterback. San Jose State will struggle on defense and UNLV should be able to have success rushing the ball and cruise to a win.

Prediction: UNLV 34, San Jose State 24
