The 2025 NFL mock draft has been updated following a week of college football games. After Week 4, most of the common picks at the top of the draft remain in those slots. However, some players have moved around based on their performances and the NFL teams that might be picking high in the 2025 draft.
After Week 4 of the 2024 college football season, we have updated our 2025 NFL mock draft. Here are the current projected top-five picks.
Updated 2025 NFL mock draft after Week 4 of college football
#1 Travis Hunter
Travis Hunter jumps up to the top of our 2025 NFL mock draft. There are a few reasons for this, starting with the fact that Hunter has continued to perform at an elite level on both sides of the field. The Colorado two-way star had another seven receptions for 130 yards against Baylor on Saturday.
However, another big reason for Hunter to jump to No. 1 is the NFL franchises that seem like drafting high in 2025. Teams like the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars already have quarterbacks that are established or were picked highly recently, so they might not want to pick a signal-caller early. If a team does not want to pick a quarterback, Hunter is the logical selection.
#2 Shedeur Sanders
Quarterbacks always go high in the draft, and even if one team passes to pick Hunter, several others will likely go for quarterbacks. Colorado star Shedeur Sanders has continued to improve throughout the season, despite playing behind a bad offensive line in Boulder. He threw for 341 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-31 overtime win this week over Baylor.
#3 Carson Beck
Carson Beck has been projected to get drafted high all season. His combination of size and football IQ makes him an appealing option to NFL teams. No new data is available on Beck this week, though, because his Georgia Bulldogs had an open week.
#4 Will Johnson
Once a few quarterbacks go off the board, teams tend to start to look at other skill-position players. Any team that needs help on defense will benefit from drafting Will Johnson out of Michigan. He is a dynamic cornerback who should be able to step into the NFL immediately and have an impact. So, we have him fourth in our 2025 NFL mock draft.
#5 Will Campbell
Will Campbell has established himself as one of the best offensive tackles in college football for LSU. He is a consistent presence on the offensive line and can help any NFL team with a gap in that area. The thing teams will love most is his huge frame. The 6-foot-6, 323-pound Campbell has the confidence and competitiveness to make any NFL coach want him on their roster.
