The No. 11 USC Trojans will go on the road to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in Minneapolis for a Week 6 Big Ten matchup on Saturday. USC is entering the game with a 3-1 record, while Minnesota will come into this matchup with a 2-3 record.
The Trojans are coming off a bounce-back win in Week 5 over the Wisconsin Badgers after suffering their first loss of the season in Week 4 at the hands of the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines.
USC topped Wisconsin 38-21 and have posted impressive wins to start their season. The Trojans opened the season with a Top 25 win over the No. 13 LSU Tigers, beating LSU 27-20. USC will look to mount some momentum in Week 6 heading into a Week 7 matchup versus the No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions.
Minnesota, on the other hand, has had a relatively disappointing start to their season, winning just two of their first five games. The Gophers have suffered back-to-back losses in their last two matchups, losing to the Iowa Hawkeyes in Week 4 and Michigan in Week 5, despite nearly upsetting the Wolverines in the Big House.
Minnesota will look to complete their upset effort this week versus USC, with the Trojans traveling to Huntington Bank Stadium.
USC vs. Minnesota: Prediction
The Gophers should feel good about themselves for a heroic effort versus Michigan in Week 5, but shouldn't expect it to carry into Week 6. Michigan has played down to every team they've faced this season. While The Wolverines mustered a win over USC, this isn't necessarily a sign of a good matchup for the Gophers.
USC has taken care of business versus lower-caliber teams and with Minnesota entering the week as an eight-point underdog at home, that's unlikely to change this week. We're going to give this one to the Trojans by two possessions. USC should take care of business ahead of a crucial matchup versus Penn State next week.

USC vs. Minnesota: Head-to-Head
Saturday will mark just the ninth matchup between USC and Minnesota and their first time facing off since the 2011 season. USC has dominated the series thus far, winning six of the eight matchups. The Trojans have won each of the last five games between the schools, with Minnesota's only win coming in 1955, when the Gophers beat USC 25-19.
The 1955 game was the last matchup between the two until the 1965 season, when the USC-Minnesota matchup resulted in a tie. The largest margin of victory came when USC topped Minnesota 48-14 in the 1979 season.
