USC vs Washington: Preview

USC is a 2.5-point favorite on the road against Washington. The over/under is set at 55.5 points.
The Trojans have struggled in its first year in the Big Ten as traveling to the East Coast has been an issue. USC, however, did blowout Rutgers last week in a game that coach Lincoln Riley was happy about.
"We wanted to get off to a fast start, we obviously were able to do that in the game and then obviously did a good job in the second half closing the door," Riley said, via SI. "Being able to extend it (the lead), and finish the game off ... I thought the guys took the keys and the emphasis for the week, they did really well. I thought we played a really physical game, a very complete game. (I'm) proud to get the win and excited for that to jumpstart us here for this back half."
USC is led by Miller Moss who has thrown for 2,262 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. Woody Marks has rushed for 755 yards and eight touchdowns, while Makai Lemon has 378 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Defensively, the Trojans have seven interceptions and 13 sacks, while Easton Mascerenas-Arnold has 38 tackles.
Washington, meanwhile, is coming off a road loss to Indiana and was blown out by Iowa the week before. The Huskies have struggled this season and coach Jedd Fisch says the focus this week is on themselves and not USC.
“I try to focus in on beating SC, but I would love nothing more than to celebrate something in December with a Bowl game,” Fisch said, via SI. “I told our team, don’t predict the future. Don’t try to figure out what’s going to happen in two weeks, and three weeks, and one week. Just figure out what’s going to happen today, and then let’s see how good we can play, and then let’s see what Saturday brings.”
Fisch believes the Huskies can play better all around as the goal now is to get six wins and be bowl-eligible.
Washington is led by Will Rogers who's thrown for 2,022 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. Jonah Coleman has rushed for 785 yards and five touchdowns, while Denzel Boston has 583 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
This should be a close game as USC and Washington have struggled this season. But the Huskies' defense has been an issue of late. Meanwhile, Miller Moss is legit and should be able to carve up the Huskies' defense to lead USC to a big win here.
Prediction: USC 37, Washington 24
