The Utah vs UCF clash ends the season for two teams that have very different injury reports. Both the Utes (4-7) and the Knights (4-7) have had disappointing seasons that will end on Friday.
After winning four games to start the year, Utah has lost seven straight, including a 31-28 loss against No. 18-ranked Iowa State on Saturday. UCF is coming off a 31-21 loss to West Virginia on Saturday. As a result, neither will play in a bowl game this season.
Utah vs UCF injury report
The upcoming Utah vs UCF contest will feature two teams with different experiences with injuries this year. Utah has been severely impacted by injuries in this campaign, which has derailed a season where it was ranked inside the top 10 of the AP Top 25 Poll earlier this year. Conversely, UCF has not dealt with many injuries during the season.
Utah injury report
Very few teams have been more impacted this season by injuries than the Utes. They have dealt with injuries to their quarterbacks and that has played a leading role in derailing their season.
#1 Cam Rising
Quarterback Cam Rising suffered two separate injuries this year. He initially missed three games with an injury to his throwing arm. However, he returned for a 27-19 loss to Arizona State. Unfortunately for him, he injured his leg and was forced to miss the rest of the season, including one on Friday against UCF.
#2 Isaac Wilson
Quarterback Isaac Wilson had taken over from Rising following his injury, but now he is injured too. Wilson suffered a knee injury in Saturday's loss to Iowa State. Unfortunately for the Utes, he is listed as out for the final game of the season.
#3 Munir McClain
Wide receiver Munir McClain suffered an undisclosed injury during the 49-24 loss to Colorado in mid-November. He is listed as questionable to return on Friday.
UCF injury report
The Knights are one of the few college football teams that have not had to deal with many injuries this season. Heading into the season finale, they only have one player reported with an injury.
#1 Jordan Davis
Tight end Jordan Davis has not been able to participate in any UCF Knights games this season. Although there was hope that he would take a step forward this season and have a big impact, his campaign was derailed before it started.
Davis tore his Achilles before the season and required surgery. As a result, he was ruled out for the year.
