The Vanderbilt Commodores traveled to the Jordan-Hare Stadium to face the Auburn Tigers in Week 10 of the 2024 college football season. Saturday's game got underway at 12:45 p.m. ET.

Diego Pavia started as Vanderbilt's quarterback, while Payton Thorne led the offense for Auburn.
Here's a look at the box score for the Vanderbilt vs. Auburn game, which ended in a 17-7 win for the Commodores.

Vanderbilt opened the scoring late in the first quarter when Pavia connected with a 28-yard touchdown pass to AJ Newberry. Brock Taylor's conversion of an extra point meant the Commodores had a 7-0 lead after the first quarter.

However, Auburn struck back in the second quarter as Thorne picked out Rivaldo Fairweather with a 30-yard touchdown pass. Later, Towns McGough converted the extra point to take the scores level at 7-7 at halftime.
Taylor gave Vanderbilt the lead in the third quarter when he converted a 31-yard field goal to put the visitors 10-7 ahead. The Tigers looked to find a way back into the game but struggled to create much offensively in the second half.

In the fourth quarter, Pavia threw a 4-yard TD pass to Eli Stowers to give Vanderbilt a bigger lead. Taylor converted the extra point.
While the Tigers did threaten on a few occasions, they failed to get on the scoreboard in the final two quarters.
Vanderbilt held on to win 17-7. It was the Commodores' sixth win of the season, which also meant they got bowl eligibility.
On the other hand, Auburn suffered its sixth defeat of the season. The Tigers have an off in Week 11 and will resume action against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in Week 12 on Nov. 16.
