Although Vanderbilt beat Alabama, Commodores coach Clark Lea wasn't satisfied with just one great win.

"We only allow ourselves so much joy," Lea said, via Tennessean. "It's a sickness, but that anxiousness is knowing that we have so much ahead of us that we have to get done."

Vanderbilt defensive lineman Yilanan Ouattara also said the team isn't letting the win overhype them.

"We enjoyed it for like 12 hours, and we're focusing back on Kentucky," he said.

Vanderbilt has been led by Pavia who has thrown for 973 yards and has rushed for 335 yards. Khordae Sydnor leads the team with two sacks, while Langston Patterson leads the team with 36 tackles.

Kentucky, meanwhile, upset Ole Miss and then had a bye week to prepare for Vanderbilt, which coach Mark Stoops said was beneficial.

“You don’t have to worry about selling Vanderbilt anymore, telling you how good they are and how good (coach) Clark Lea has done,” Stoops said of the Commodores, via NKYTribune. “I have a lot of respect for Clark and what he’s done and what he’s been building for some time.
“They beat us not long ago (and) I know what he’s capable of and what type of quality person and coach he is in the job that he’s doing at Vanderbilt. Congratulations to them to see some of that hard work paying off.”

Stoops said the bye week allowed some key players to get back to 100%, which he believes will help them greatly.

“(We’re) glad to be at home this week, in a night game, so I hope to have a tremendous environment here Saturday night,” Stoops said. “It was good to get a big victory a week ago on the road. Hopefully, our fans will be here in full effect on Saturday and our team will continue to play better and better.”

Kentucky has been led by quarterback Brock Vandagriff who has thrown for 793 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Defensively, J.J. Weaver leads the team with three sacks.

Vanderbilt is coming off a great win but Kentucky's defense is legit, and at home, the Wildcats should challenge the Commodores. This is a good spot for Kentucky to get the win, but Vanderbilt should be able to keep it close.

Prediction: Kentucky 21, Vanderbilt 13
