Vanderbilt vs Florida: Preview
Vanderbilt is a 7.5-point road underdog and the over/under is set at 53.5 points.
The loss to the Gamecocks was an ugly one and Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea talked about it after the game.
“That was a three-phase a**-kicking,” Lea said, via Vanderbilt Hustler. “I got a locker room of guys that are disappointed and upset, and their head coach is right alongside them.”
Vanderbilt is led by Diego Paiva who has thrown for 1,843 yards, 15 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 628 yards and five TDs. Eli Stowers leads the way with 557 receiving yards and four TDs.
Defensively, the Commodores are led by Khordae Sydnor and Nicholas Rinaldi's four sacks and Bryan Longwell's 63 tackles.
Meanwhile, LSU has lost three consecutive games. After the loss to Florida, Tigers coach Brian Kelly challenged his players to continue to fight.
“This is really a simple exercise of do you want to fight or not?” Kelly said, via On3. “Do you want to fight and take responsibility as coaches and players that we’re not playing well and we’re struggling right now? So it’s life. It’s a myriad of things, but it’s a reflection of what life’s about.”
LSU is led by Garrett Nussmeier who has thrown for 3,126 yards, 22 TDs and 11 interceptions. Caden Durham has rushed for 551 yards and six TDs, while Kyren Lacy has caught 49 passes for 740 yards and seven TDs.
Defensively, Zy Alexander has two interceptions, Bradyn Swinson has eight sacks and Whit Weeks has 92 tackles.
LSU is in a good position to snap its losing streak, as Vanderbilt's Cinderella run appears to have come to an end.
Prediction: LSU 28, Vanderbilt 17
