The Texas Longhorns host the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 9 of college football. The Longhorns are looking to bounce back a week after their first loss of the year, a 30-15 defeat to Georgia which cost them the top spot of the AP Poll.
Vanderbilt, in turn, is on a roll, with three straight wins which started with their unexpected upset of Alabama. Since then they have defeated Kentucky and Ball State.
Both schools are ranked, with Texas being the No. 5 school in the nation and Vandy the No. 25. Texas is 6-1 overall, while the Commodores are 5-2, but both share a 2-1 SEC mark.
Quinn Ewers is expected to start for Texas, despite being benched in the second half of the game against Georgia. The Longhorns are heavy favorites, by 17 points to be exact.
ESPN is giving Vandy just a 9.4% chance of winning the game. Bar another surprising turn of events this season, Texas should impose its will over the Nashville school.
