Wake Forest vs North Carolina prediction & betting tips - Nov. 16 | College Football Week 12

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are on the road to play the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on the ACC Network.

Wake Forest (4-5, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) is coming off a 46–36 loss to Cal. Meanwhile, North Carolina (5-4, 2-3) is coming off a 35–11 win over FSU.

Wake Forest is an 11-point underdog, while the over/under is set at 64 points.

The Demon Deacons must win two of their final three games to be bowl-eligible, which are games against UNC, Miami and Duke. Wake Forest is coming off a disappointing loss to Cal, which snapped its two-game winning streak.

“I don’t think there’s one position group on our whole football team that can say ‘Hey, I did my job today,’” coach Dave Clawson said after the loss, via team website. “It was just bad, sloppy football."

Wake Forest is led by Hank Bachmeier who has thrown for 2,232 yards, 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Demond Claiborne has rushed for 824 yards and nine touchdowns. Taylor Morin leads the way with 606 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, the Demon Deacons are led by Nick Anderson who has two interceptions, Kevin Pointer who has four sacks, and Anderson who has 94 tackles.

North Carolina, meanwhile, is on a two-game winning streak and could become bowl-eligible with a win here.

“It should be a fun game,” coach Mack Brown said Monday during his weekly press conference, via Rivals. “It’s a game that going to be a blue-out, so we’re asking everybody to wear Carolina blue. It will be a night game, which will be fun on ACC Network..."

“That’s why I want the fans to (be there). We’re supposed to be in the present and we’re supposed to always be forward thinking; let’s be in the present for this team and let’s reward them for their last two (home games), and the staff, let’s have a great environment Saturday night, let’s go play three great games and end up with a real positive season.”

The Tar Heels are led by Jacolby Criswell who has thrown for 1,871 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. Omarion Hampton has rushed for 1,178 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Kaleb Cost leads the team with two interceptions, Beau Atkinson and Jahvaree Ritzie both have 6.5 sacks, and Antavious Lane has 57 tackles.

North Carolina has a great crowd that will make it hard for Wake Forest's offense. The Tar Heels defense, meanwhile, should be much better here as it has looked much better in its past two games.
