The Washington Huskies underwent some changes under coach Jedd Fisch this season but made the Sun Bowl. However, as is apparent in college football, significant players are entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. The winter window for the NCAA Transfer Portal has officially closed for the likes of the Washington Huskies, so let's look at some of the more integral players who have officially left the program and are continuing their college football careers elsewhere.
Washington Transfer Portal Losses
CB Curley Reed III
Cornerback Curley Reed III is one of the bigger names from the Washington Huskies to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. The redshirt freshman officially transferred to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs after not seeing the field for the entire 2024 college football season. He has yet to appear in a game in his college football career but is expected to be a force on the field.
The former four-star defensive back is originally from Louisiana, so the move to go home and play is unsurprising. It will be interesting to see how he does in a conference lesser than the Big Ten.
RB Cameron Davis
Senior running back Cameron Davis is another name that hit the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason after spending five years with the Washington Huskies. After missing the entire 2023 season, he returned to the Huskies and had 44 rushing attempts for 190 yards (4.3 yards per carry) while also recording 14 receptions for 156 yards (11.1 yards per catch) but did not find the end zone.
He did not play in the final regular season game or the Sun Bowl. He will suit up for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the 2025 college football season.
S Justin Harrington
Senior safety Justin Harrington has decided to transfer to the West Virginia Mountaineers after just a single season with the Washington Huskies. He was limited to just three games in 2024 as he had three total tackles (one solo, two assisted) this season and continues his long NCAA career as he plays another season after beginning his college football career in 2018.
