Masterchef Gordon Ramsay is attending the standout game of Week 8 of the 2024 college football season. The No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns (6-0) are hosting the No. 5 ranked Georgia Bulldogs (5-1) in a battle of Southeastern Conference powerhouses.

Gordon Ramsay clarified on X (formerly known as Twitter) which team he'll be supporting. The iconic chef tweeted:

"Let them cook!! Get them today @TexasFootball!! Hook ‘em"

How have Texas and Georgia played this season?

The No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns are among the few powerhouses with unbeaten records to start the 2024 college football season. The Steve Sarkisian-coached program has enjoyed blowout wins over two ranked opponents this season. The Longhorns have arguably the best quarterback in the nation, and their defense is just as stacked as their offense.

The No. 5 ranked Georgia Bulldogs are also having a decent season. The Kirby Smart-coached team won every game except a one-score loss to long-time rivals the Alabama Crimson Tide in late September. The Bulldogs have since recorded wins over Auburn and Mississippi State to reclaim their place in the Top 5 of the AP Poll rankings.

Sarkisian and Smart's teams will collide in Week 8, potentially tying the fate of the Top 10 rankings.

What to expect from the Texas vs Georgia game?

According to BET MGM, the Texas Longhorns are a -3.5-point favorite against the Georgia Bulldogs. The spread for the game is -3.5 (-110) in favor of the Longhorns. The Bulldogs versus Longhorns Over/Under is 55.5 total points.

According to BET MGM, the winning team model predicts that the Longhorns will win this game with 60.0% confidence due to game simulations, offensive and defensive showdowns and recent fixture results. Of course, the Bulldogs will have something to say about their status as underdogs going into Week 8, but it's hard to argue for a home victory for Steve Sarkisian's flawless side on Saturday.
