The Alabama Crimson Tide have been one of the most successful teams in the 21st century and a lot of that has to do with former coach Nick Saban. The program has churned out many NFL superstars. The family dynamic of being part of the Roll Tide has been there, even years after leaving Tuscaloosa.
One of those moments was captured recently. Former Crimson Tide and current Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris spoke about his confidence in current Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. He discussed, in the clip, how he is always supporting the team and its quarterback.
"Good luck this year, we always supporting man, we always supporting. It's a family."
This season is going to be interesting as the Crimson Tide had a major change after coach Nick Saban announced his retirement earlier this year. The school went on and hired Washington coach Kalen DeBoer. The program has had no trouble keeping their talent and getting recruits to continue to buy into the program.
With this being DeBoer's first season in Tuscaloosa as the head coach, he brings with him a national championship appearance last season. The changing of the guard happened but the expectations are still surrounding the program as it enters the 2024 college football season.
Will the Alabama Crimson Tide make the College Football Playoff this season?
The Alabama Crimson Tide were able to win the SEC Championship last season and make their way into the College Football Championship as the fourth and final team.
They had a bit of a rocky season last year but Jalen Milroe is returning to be the star quarterback for the team. Also, Kalen DeBoer has some history with helping quarterbacks reach that next level as we saw with Michael Penix Jr. last season.
With the additions of the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners in the SEC, the path is going to be difficult to win the conference. However, with the field expanded now to 12 teams, there is no reason why the Crimson Tide are not in the College Football Playoff next season.
They have the coaching staff and the talent to make a major splash. Expect to see the Alabama Crimson Tide being one of the top 12 teams when the College Football Playoff begins in December.
