Jim Harbaugh's decided to pass the torch to Sherrone Moore as the new head coach after Michigan created history last year by winning their first national championship title since 1997. After the Wolverines's electrifying 15-0 run under Harbaugh, expectations for Moore are high.

In a conversation with Joel Klatt on "The Joel Klatt Show," Moore opened up about the Michigan Wolverines' maintaining the team's passion after losing big names like Jim Harbaugh, JJ McCarthy, Blake Corum, and more, while giving insights on their preparation for the upcoming football season

"We're going to continue to work, work, work as hard as we can every single day," Moore said. "Don't look at the prize. Don't look at the Games down the field like look at right now and do whatever we can do today to get better. We know we've got great talent here on both sides of the ball."
"We built it to sustain and not be up and down. So super excited for what the players have done this spring. I'll tell you, it's been a physical spring. It's been a fun spring, guys get after it, sometimes we got to pull them away, we cant keep pouncing on each other". (26:10)

Moore was first appointed as Michigan's tight ends coach and was later appointed to be their offensive line coach. He will be facing the spotlight in the upcoming 2024 college football season to take Michigan's winning momentum further this year.

Sherrone Moore expresses gratitude over Nick Saban's comments

During Nick Saban's first appearance at college game day during the 2024 NFL draft, former Alabama head coach applauded Moore during Zak Zinter's selection, saying Michigan was among the best-coached offensive lines in the country during the 2024 college football season.

Sherrone Moore was delighted by Saban's words and expressed gratitude in the same conversation with Joel Klatt:

"But that’s an awesome statement from, probably, arguably, the best college coach in college history. So I’ve had the chance to talk to him about a couple of times just about head coach life and things like that. So it means a lot, it means a lot to me, it means a lot to the players. But ultimately, to me, it’s what the players did. So they were phenomenal that and excited for the rest of these guys to keep picking up the slack.”

Sherrone Moore will be carrying the weight of some big expectations as Michigan enter the 2024 season as defending champions during his first year as head coach.
